Our Executive Director was invited to give a talk at a Center for Democracy & Technology event.
HURIDOCS is receiving $1 million in grant funding and additional support from Google’s philanthropic arm, Google.org, in order to integrate machine learning models and expand Uwazi, a free and open source database application designed for human rights defenders to capture and organize collections of information.

HURIDOCS held a workshop in Indonesia last August to highlight the power of collective work for the documentation of human rights violations during emergent crises. The workshop brought together 12 participants representing various community organisations from six different countries in the Asia Pacific region: Bangladesh, Burma, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and West Papua.
Collaboration aims to empower and train human rights actors in Turkey working for economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR).
